Recent NOTD: Completely Work Appropriate

This past week at work included three full days of meetings with gentlemen from the partner firm which is working with my employer in Germany, so I wanted a mani that was neutral and professional but still with a bit of interest to it. I ended up with two coats of OPI Samoan Sand (pretty much mannequin hands on me, very conservative) topped with one coat of Borghese Postiano Petal (enough sparkles to entertain me when the German guys were talking to each other in German, which I do not speak or understand).

It held up very nicely for the whole work week even though I had no time to add a refresher top coat; the shimmer in the Borghese camoflaged any dullness that crept in.

  1. Very appropriate. I like the bit of sparkle the Borghese gives the combo. The OPI polish looks like it could possibly be a dupe for SH Wet Clay, no?

  3. Very chic, don't you hate when you have to be "work appropriate" with your manis?

  5. That's a really pretty neutral manicure. I like the extra spark of the Borghese polish :D

  6. I like it and yes, very work safe. I've been sporting skittles at mine a while back, but we're really laid back and I'd switch it if I have to be around clients and stuff.

  8. Tamara, I think Wet Clay is more brown than Samoan Sand; I will do a comp. when I get a chance.

Lola B., thanks! I actually have two bottles of Samoan Sand, one black label and one green. :)

Freshie, it's not so bad to have to go conservative sometimes, since most days I can wear whatever I please.

    1xellus1, thanks!

Cel, you know I will put glitter in if I can. :)

kittypolishnbags, glad to hear it; my office is pretty casual too but I do have to put on more traditional look when certain folks come to visit.

nailspotting, nein. Though I do think it might be fun to learn some of those very long German words for very specific things.

Thank you for reading and commenting! I greatly appreciate knowing I'm not just talking to myself here. :) I'm moderating most comments now due to the spate of spammers who claim to be looking for sexy times.
